Mottarone

San Domenico is a part of the mountain of the city of Varzo, and it is an ideal starting point for the ski runs of Alpe Ciamporino (1975 metres). The village San Domenico is 1420 metres high and offers ski runs that are about 30 km long and they are suitable for the downhill ski. Besides that there are public spaces and numerous ski runs for enthusiasts of alpine-skiing, walking with snow shoes and Freestyle, with ski runs for beginners and for demanding skiers. The sport-offers, the tranquillity, the beauty of the landscape and the accommodations ensures a comfortable journey in one of the most charming and characteristic district of the Lepontine Alps.
