Lake Maggiore is ready to welcome you, at the start of the 2013 season, which debuts officially on March 16 with the reopening of villas and gardens. A season that this year will be longer: in fact the Borromeo Islands will be open till November 3, one week more than 2012.

Botanical gardens and Borromeo Islands: an eight-month long experience between flowers and art

Spring is the best season to visit botanical gardens and sumptuous villas overlooking Lake Maggiore, a special occasion to spend some days on Lake Orta or to enjoy some beautiful moments in the Ossola Valleys. From the end of March gardens and villas will welcome Italian and foreign tourists, who reach the Lakes District to spend their first spring weekend.

After the violent cloudburst in last August Villa Taranto in Verbania Pallanza will re-open from Saturday, March 16 on.
