Description of cycle route

The climb starts at the Trobaso-Bieno roundabout. It easily climbs towards Cambiasca with a gear ratio of 39/21. DI SEGUITO Entrance to the village, Madonna del Popolo church on the right, 50 m, turn right, 150 m junction for Miazzina and the Intrasca Valley. Turn left, then right for the “Eremo”. The first uphill stretch, to Comero, is rather demanding, climbing around 10%; after which it is easier with long straights (great downhill) and wide bends. “Eremo” of Miazzina, famous health centre, is around 5 km further on. Here many less fortunate people seek assistance, but above all, clean air for their lungs. The residential centre of Miazzina is another 700m on. There is a drinking fountain in the square to the right. It then leads to the church; at this point turn right (it is signposted). It is exactly 1.6 km from here to the validation point and it is these that have earned it its green with an average gradient of 9%, reaching 12% in the last 500 metres. Once outside the built-up area of Miazzina the cycle route runs alongside a beautiful park leading immediately into the woods. If this is of any consolation, summer shade is almost guaranteed... but without going too far; in fact, as soon as you catch sight of the houses the wood ends and so too the shade, to then reappear in the last 300 m. But by this time it is all over!
Once in the Pala Alp square, a refuge awaits... with certain snacks to satisfy even the most demanding connoisseurs. Having reached the end of the official climb, those who still have some strength and stamina can continue on for another 11.6 km (leading to the Fina Chapel at an altitude of TOGLIERE SPAZIO IN PIU’ 1101 m above sea level), representing the classic cherry on the cake: try to believe!
