School Tourism: Guide & E-Book

In “Gianni Rodari’s Year” Distretto Turistico dei Laghi, Monti e Valli has created the new guide „Dai Laghi alle Valli: un Laboratorio a Cielo Aperto“ (From lakes to valleys: a laboratory in the open sky) in order to promote school tourism and its development in our area.

38 itineraries suggested – from various culture fields (history, art, religion and traditions) to those related to praxis (play, sport, hiking and creative laboratories) – for kids, teens and pupils, who will be able therefore to learn with fun.

The most relevant aspects in the book?
Detailed descriptions (i.e. introduction, day program, useful services, itinerary didactic value and operators’ contacts) and good readability thanks to photos, symbols and 3 funny figures (Ugo the Sprite from Ossola Valley, Gino the Wild Duck from Maggiore and Mergozzo Lakes and Giuliano the Dragon from Orta Lake), which describe different excursion possibilities during a real “discovery travel” throughout the region.

In our multi-faceted area – from Maggiore, Mergozzo and Orta Lakes to Ossola Mountains, interesting museums, parks and agriturismi you can organise 1/more day/s long school trips and stays.

The new publication took up not only Distretto Turistico but also more than 40 municipalities and experts. It collects 52 rich pages, a big central map with the most important local tourist attractors for school tourists and, on the other side, a blank map which could be filled by students directly.
So a tourist guide and a didactic support in just one work!

The publication is being distributed to schools, groups, associations and sector experts in Piedmont, Lombardy and other proximate Italian Provinces.
