The new initiative of Distretto Turistico dei Laghi Monti e Valli invites tourists to come and visit the lakes and the hinterland, with more than 80 affiliated services.
This innovative solution is a map which can also be used as a “card”, with 12 tours suggested in our valleys and the hinterland, pinpointed on the map, where you will be able to chose among more than 80 affiliated services: restaurants, cafés, agritourisms, reduced entrance tickets for thermal baths and museums, tour guides and courier services.
In other words, a real promotional tool for valleys and local services, which aims at facilitating the mobility all over the region and increasing the visibility of the tourism product, going from leisure activities to local cookery.
“Excursions in the valleys around the lakes”, this is the new initiative promoted by Distretto Turistico dei Laghi, Monti e Valli: not just a simple map or guide, but a real promotional tool for valleys and local services. This map, available both in Italian and in English, contains a selection of 12 different excursions among which tourists can freely choose to plan: the most traditional destinations like Macugnaga, Formazza, the natural parks and Domodossola, the places and the villages on the River Toce or Lake Maggiore. Suggestions dedicated to the ones who can appreciate things like open-air activities, natural beauties, local culture and food.
Every route is accompanied by a short description and a series of affiliated services promoted by the operators who joined the initiative: reductions for restaurants, cafés, entries and various tickets.
You can find all services on the website www.distrettolaghi.it/convenzioni.
The map “Excursions in the valleys around the lakes” can be downloaded from the website (for registered users – in the “ebooks” section). You can also find it at the campings all around Lakes Maggiore, Orta and Mergozzo and it will be soon available at every IAT Tourist Office of the area.
