Museo Arte della Tornitura del Legno

Five water mills (known as the factories), which were powered by the roggia molinara (water mill canal) of the small river Pescone, were transformed into turner’s workshops in the mid-eighteen hundreds, and were used until a few decades ago. Inside one of these factories are a few rooms devoted to turned objects dating back to the beginning of the XIX century and to later years. A section, which is especially picturesque, has been created in a turner’s workshop. Here visitors can admire the original tools and machinery used for turning wood.
