Inside Palazzo Stampa, a neoclassical style villa where Alessandro Manzoni stayed with his second wife, we find the Sala Manzoniana. Books, manuscripts and parchments related to the writer’s life and works are exhibited here. Letters and treatises by philosopher Antonio Rosmini are on display inside glass showcases, as well as memorabilia and manuscripts by writer Giulio Carcano, one of Manzoni’s friends.
