The Distretto Turistico dei Laghi would kindly inform tourists and local citizens that on Friday, 23rd April there will be a general stop of the public transport on Lake Maggiore because of a 24 hours-strike of the Navigazione Lago Maggiore. The ferry company guarantees normal transport just from 6 to 8,40 a.m. and from 4.30 to 7.50 p.m. during the day.

The week-end of 24th-25th April in Verbania will be characterised by sports and gastronomic traditions.
There, from 10.30 on, there will be in fact the IV edition of the Verbania Motorboat Grand Prix as well as several stands selling stuff for shippers, boat drivers and boat lovers. The classic "100 Miles" competition on Lake Maggiore called “Evelino Carcano Trophy” will also be valid for the Italian Endurance Championship.

The Music Season 2010 is at the green light in our District of Lakes with a first appointment, the Stresa Festival.
From May 8th to 22nd three unforgettable Spring Concerts will in fact take place as part of festival program.
According to several requests on Sunday, May 16th Goran Bregovic's concert will be performed twice at 18.00 and 21.30 in the Palazzo dei Congressi. For the occasion the famous Bosnian musician will propose a selection of his most important compositions together with the Wedding and Funeral Band.
