Funny Epiphany in the Distretto Turistico with lots of events!

The “Befana”, the ugly old woman who brings children gifts on January 6th, will arrive soon in towns and villages of Distretto Turistico dei Laghi, Monti e Valli. Read the article and go to our “Events” section to know all related events!

Here a short summary for the moment…

On January 3rd and 5th art laboratories with “Facciamo la calzetta della Befana” and “Costruiamo la scopetta”. From 15 to 18 in the Didactic and Nature Centre “La Torre di Mattarella”, next to Domodossola (Ossola Valley). Prices: € 5/person - one day entry. Info +39 340 0505707.
From January 3rd to 5th in Massino Visconti (Vergante Hills) there will be “Aspettando la Befana - Le sfilate con i campanacci”: traditional walking routes in the night along the town roads with big cowbells! On Thursday night the Magi will come to give kids a lot of gifts.
On January 5th in the village Oltrefiume, Baveno (Lake Maggiore) the “Befana” will come at 20.30: waiting for her, hot chocolate cups and sweet wine for everyone!
On the 5th the Magi will arrive in Antigorio Valley: at 15.30 in Croveo, at 16 in Baceno. At 21 the Befana will join them...
More “Befane” in Macugnaga (Anzasca Valley) on January 5th at 17.30 in the Ski-School.

On January 6th finally the “Befana” will arrive…
in Castelletto Ticino (Lake Maggiore) at 14.30 in the S. Carlo Oratory, with entertainments and magic shows;
from the ski in Crevoladossola (Ossola Valley) at 14 in the Nursery School of Preglia with “Arriva la Befana in parapendio”; at 16 the Magi will come at the square of the Parrish Church;
in Arona (Lake Maggiore) together with her children; at 17 in the SS. Anna and Gioacchino Church the Epiphany Concert “Canti tradizionali del presepe” will be performed;
in Dormelletto (Lake Maggiore) with a big bingo at 15.30 in the multifunction hall;
in Pisano (Vergante Hills) with the withch’s stake “Brucia la Befana!” at Vittorio Veneto Square;
in Verbania – Suna (Lake Maggiore) at 14 with hot chocolate and funny shows;
in Crodo (Antigorio Valley) from 15 on with laboratories and entertainments in the Foro Boario;
in Druogno (Vigezzo Valley) with “Poi verrà l'Epifania”, plays and surprises for kids and not only;
in Vogogna, Premosello Chiovenda and Colloro (Ossola Valley) at 17.30 with the "Carca Vegia Bonfire", during which two big puppets called “Vech” and “Vegia” (local dialect for old and ugly man and woman) are burned together with a large wood stack in order to eliminate everything old and renew human spirits with the new year coming;
in the village centre of Bannio Anzino (Anzasca Valley) in the afternoon with a living crèche.
