Fireworks Opening Gala on Saturday, July 24th by the Toce Waterfall

Everything is ready for the first appointment with “Fiori di Fuoco 2010”, the fireworks world championship organised by Distretto Turistico dei Laghi, Monti e Valli dell'Ossola in partnership with Regione Piemonte, Provincia Novara and Provincia Verbano Cusio Ossola, municipalities and local associations.

Everything is ready for the first appointment with “Fiori di Fuoco 2010”, the fireworks world championship organised by Distretto Turistico dei Laghi, Monti e Valli dell'Ossola on Saturday, July 24th from 21.45 on in the marvellous scenary of Toce Waterfall, Formazza Valley.

The waterfall, which is considered the most beautiful one in Europe, will be lighted by wonderful, echological and pyrotechnical effects of "Parente Fireworks" company without any noise. Just million of lights, colours and a splendid coreography will underline such a treasure of nature that is the waterfall.

The waterfall can be reached by car only until 16.00 because after that the road between the villages Ponte and Sotto Frua (location of the show) will be closed until one hour after the end of the show. Car-parkings in Formazza.
From Ponte it is possible to arrive just before the waterfall through a charming walking path (3,5 Km, 40 Minutes).
We recommend to bring torches and heavy garments with you.

During the same weekend many side-events: the Energy Day in Formazza in partnership with Enel and Snam companies (24/07: visit of the Hydroelectric Power Station in Ponte - 15-17, visit of the Walser House Museum - 15-18, concert for Haiti in Valdo - from 22.30 on) and typical handicraft-markets in Valdo (25/07).
