Bike routes in Fondotoce Natural Reserve

Bike riding in Fondotoce Wildlife Reserve is probably the best sport to find out some beautiful panoramic views in a place of absolute natural beauty. The suggested route allows to ideally embrace Lake Maggiore, Lake Mergozzo and Toce River. It's suitable for everyone and practicable in every moment of the year. From the town centre of Fondotoce the most convenient entrance to the cycle line is near the roundabout of the main road in direction to Feriolo. Through a canal which connects the two lakes, riders can reach the marvellous bed of reeds of Fondotoce. After a campsite, among meadows, cultivated fields and black locust woods along the river, they can come back to the town. For those who want to extend the itinerary for about 10 km, on the bridge between Fondotoce and Feriolo it's possible to enter Via Piano Grande and take the cycle line on the right after the horse riding school called "Cascina Garlanda". Few hundreds of metres and riders arrive to "Montagnetta", a restricted granite hill. Its top offers an unique view of the surrounding landscape. Going through the old river valley which is rich of waterbirds, the route ends in the outskirts of Gravellona Toce with the possibility to easily come back to the point of departure.
