Baveno: a "Jump into the Past" for Xmas!

Folklore and tradition, ancient smells and costumes, jobs and tools: everything with the event "Un Salto nel Passato" - 10th edition on December 18th (14.00-20.30) and 19th (12.00-20.30) in the old centre of Baveno (Vb) on Lake Maggiore.

Hand workers who produce sundials, clocks and straw chairs, astronomers, tailors and smiths will position in closed spaces characterised by typical vaults as well as along narrow roads and in court-yards lightened by Roman torches.
500 walks-on with typical époque clothes, Miazzina Women, Santa Maria Maggiore Chimney Sweeps, Esio Chair Menders will be present too.
But also orchestral players will not miss with music and dances from the end of 18th century.

By the so-called “Frànc” (central bank places) you will be able to buy “Baveno Coins” – as the one which reproduces the oldest house in the town, “Casa Morandi” - with which you will be allowed to taste local courses and drinks by giving at the same time a contribute to both the celebration and municipality.
