Amenoblues, blues notes on the hills of Lake Orta

From June 12 to July 10 2010 there it is! The routing music festival "Amenoblues" comes back in Ameno and surroundings for its 6th edition.

8 magic nights with blues concerts not to be missed, a music itinerary with 5 pictoresque stages on our hills. Every year the kermesse "Amenoblues" attracts many spectators who come from all Italian regions because of the high music quality and the charm of its locations.
Promoted by the Amenoblues Association with the support of the Piemonte Region and the hosting municipalities of Cusio and Vergante districts, the festival is characterised by the presence of able international guests as well as high-level Italian bands thanks to carefully conducted search and selection by its art direction. Public and critics have always confirmed these choices over the years contributing to make Amenoblues a precious and well-known music event.

The festival concentrates in 2 weekends in Ameno: each night there will be an Italian opening group and a foreign one.
Some exceptional stars among the others will join the concerts: Dana Fuchs from New York, a passionated vocal mix of blues, gospel and rock roots (June 25); Buddy Whittington from Texas, famous guitarist of John Mayall's Bluesbrekers music group and international blues star, with his Quartet (July 9); Susan Cattaneo, one of the best American guitarrist and singer-songwriter of the moment (June 26).
Absolute protagonist will be the guitar with the duo Umberto Porcaro/Alberto Colombo of Helltones band (June 25), Roberto Luti and the blues trio Washboard Chaz (June 26), Jimi Barbiani - ex W.I.N.D. - who will probably duet with Mr. Whittington (July 9) and extraordinary Enrico Crivellaro (July 10).
Other towns will be interested by some important dates in calendar for the event and are worth of participation considering the large economic efforts of local associations and municipalities: in Pisano, the American songwriters of the No Rolling Back band and the rock sound band Mr. Saturday Night Special (June 12); in Gozzano, the guitarrist Francesco Più and the Chicago blues band Sugar Ray & the Gamblers (June 18); in Nebbiuno the trio Blind Dog Billy and Matthew Lee (June 19); in Armeno a tribute to the musician Leadbelly by Angelo “Leadbelly” Rossi and one of the event most important concerts, that one of the Kenny Neal Band (July 2).

Amenoblues is a special occasion for discovering the green and quiet territory included between two lakes Orta and Maggiore, which is now rivalorized by a local organization of public and private operators.
