Thermal baths and wellness in the valleys of the territory “Distretto Turistico”: a place, called Ossola, where one can find both mind and body complete balance thanks to beneficial power of nature water sources.
Let's think about Toce Waterfall, Formazza Valley with its spectacular, 143 meter high water jump, or nature and thermal sources in Antigorio Valley with Crodo Mineral Water as well as “Crodino” Drink, Bognanco Valley with Bognanco Mineral Water and Vigezzo Valley with Vigezzo Water streaming from the Val Grande National Park.
Historical thermal baths are rich there too, such as Bognanco Terme dating from 1862, 700 meter above Domodossola town centre; properties: treatment of stomach, liver, intestine and bile duct complaints. Crodo Terme are instead characterised by water good for care and prevention of illnesses of digestive system. The sources in Premia, Formazza Valley, are similar to Tabiano ones and are indicated for skin and breathing apparatus care. Premia Thermal Baths, finally, represent the most important wellness centre in our territory and in High Piedmont since 2008: an ideal place for therapeutic care by natural means. Out- and indoor swimming pools with hot water, emotional showers, hydro massages on one hand, spa (humid and dry areas) with saunas, Turkish baths and gym on the other. At the end of treatments a relaxing tea-room waits for you… You will be always supported and helped by qualified experts and professionals. In general, thermal baths are an unique opportunity to re-gain perfect form, comfort and relax in strict contact with nature and its incomparable resources.
Wellness in the mountain means excellent cuisine too: in Ossola family tradition allows to recreate ancient flavours characterized by absolute typical receipts and a skilful use of genuine ingredients. Some examples? Black bread with rye flour, a wide variety of salami, cheese (i.e. the “Bettelmat” from pastures of the Antigorio-Formazza Valley or “Mottarone” cheese from the highest mount between Lakes Orta and Maggiore e Orta), honey and a large choice of baking products (“Credenzin” sweet black bread with nuts, raisins and figs, “Imperialine” biscuits of Omegna, “Margheritine” biscuits of Stresa, “Fugascina” biscuit of Mergozzo and “Amaretti” biscuits of Pallanza.). Everything to be served with local wine from Novara Plains (the “Colline Novaresi”, “Fara”, “Sizzano”, “Ghemme”, etc.) or Ossola central Valley (the “Prunent”, “Ossolanum” and “Cà d'Matè”).
