“Lago Maggiore Express”: a wonderful tour across lakes and mounts!

„Lago Maggiore Express“ offers to you an unforgettable experience by train and boat between Italy and Switzerland (Canton Ticino) as well as across Lake Maggiore with its towns, islands and palaces on one side and mountain woods, villages and panoramic bridges on the other.

Visitors are given the possibility to start the round tour from Arona-Angera-Belgirate-Stresa-Isola Superiore/Pescatori-Baveno-Pallanza-Intra-Verbania F.S. Train Station-Laveno-Porto Valtravaglia-Cannero Riviera-Luino-Maccagno-Cannobio-Brissago-Ascona-Magadino-Locarno-Domodossola-Vigezzo Valley and choose the preferred itinerary from those as follows:

- Tourist Ticket, validity one day with intermediate stops on Lake Maggiore, Stresa, Isola Bella, Ascona and Locarno (CH), in Vigezzo Valley or in Centovalli;
- Tourist Ticket, validity two days with intermediate stops on Lake Maggiore, Stresa, Isola Bella, Ascona and Locarno (CH), in Vigezzo Valley or in Centovalli;
- possible over night stay in one of the hamlets along the route (not included in the ticket cost); free cruise on Lake Maggiore.

Lunch on board of the ferry „Navigazione Lago Maggiore“ is also possible with pre-reservation or in local restaurants on own choice.

Tour tickets available at the front desk of “Navigazione Lago Maggiore” boat landing stages, “Trenitalia F.S.” and “Vigezzina/Centovalli” train stations.

Activity period: from Thursdays to Sundays, holidays included, until May 31st 2012.
