“Fiori sul Vergante": a touring exhibition to celebrate our green land

From the quiet green hills of Vergante region to the lively shores of Lake Maggiore through picturesque villages, where men are still able to live in harmony with nature, discovering typical plants and flowers. That is the itinerary - and, at the same time, the aim - characterising "Fiori sul Vergante", the exhibition organised by the Province of Novara together with Distretto Turistico dei Laghi and Mountain Community Due Laghi, Cusio, Mottarone.
From April 20 to May 30 a series of events will take place in some towns of Vergante (Invorio, Pisano, Nebbiuno, Colazza and Massino Visconti among them) and Lake Maggiore areas (for instance, Arona, Meina and Lesa). The rich calendar will deal with gastronomic festivals, street markets, promenades as well as guided tours along naturalistic paths. Of course, the absolute protagonists will be flowers such as rododendrons, camelias, tulips, their colours and parfumes.
By means of programs like that, public administrations and operators would like to promote Novara surroundings as destinations of a "green" tourism, in contact with nature, as well as an "intimate" one, in contact with soul, both very far away from masses.
